Our New Home

God has blessed the kids and I with a beautiful new home with a HUGE POOL! I was finally able to close on our home June 10, 2010 and we moved in that day. We have worked all summer organizing the house, decorating each bedroom and working on making the yard into a wonderful paradise. We are excited about throwing parties and having our friends and family over to enjoy the pool. Jess was thrilled to get a new comforter set and is ready to paint the walls to match. A job her and Jeff will enjoy together. Aaron has a beautiful Alabama room with all his cool Alabama pictures on the wall and his Alabama lamp he got for Christmas. Peyton has a new bed and a camo bed in a bag on the way. All three kids are excited to have their own room. Terry and I have enjoyed learning how to keep the pool in working order. It is a beautiful, clear blue right now! :) We redid the river pebble walkway, added LOTS of new plants, laid new pinestraw and completed one pond project. It is the home to 3 beautiful goldfish and lots of water plants. We bagged over 80 garbage bags of leaves and pinestraw. I know the city of Oxford is glad we are finished with the initial clean up! :) We are working on the second pond project now. Terry dug the hole for the first pond and has the other 2 built up to cascade into the bottom pond. My step-dad comes into the picture next! He will help us build the rock wall around the ponds and install the pump and pipe to create a beautiful waterfall. I'm hoping to have it running by this weekend. Because of God's blessings I was able to purchase a gas grill and furniture to go around the pool area. One thing that I found out about Terry is that he enjoys "projects" like I do! So we will continue over the summer to work on flower beds, adding new shrubs and flowers as we go. The kids and I are so excited to OWN our home! It is something we can be very proud of and enjoy together for years to come! Thank you God for this wonderful blessing in our lives! :)
