Jackson Bonds and his family lost their home Thursday night due to a fire. As a school and class we have worked hard to help the family furnish their new home and provide the family with clothes. We also decided that Jackson needed NEW toys since he lost all the ones he received for Christmas. All the kids picked a gift and wrapped it. We let Jackson open all his new toys and boy was he so appreciative of what his friends did just for him.

We are 100 Days Smarter
We celebrated the 100th day of school on January 25, 2012. We made a special 100's day breakfast with pancakes and juice. We counted to 100 by 1's, 5's and 10's. We stood on one foot for 100 seconds and jumped in place for 100 seconds. We rotated to other classrooms and made 100th day headbands, 100th day trail mix and searched for 100 cubes to fill up the 100's chart! WE are definately 100 DAYS SMARTER!
$2000 Grant WOOHOO
We are so excited to have received a $2000 grant from the Anniston Community Education Foundation. We will purchase 4 new iPads for our classroom. We will also begin a new tutoring program called "Pad Pals" with Mrs. Calvert's 4th grade students as our tutors. They will use the iPads and the apps to help our students with skills for the 2nd semester.
